Training written by people who do the job

Wheelock Training provides short, assessed courses for continuous professional development (CPD), for experienced professionals and for the organisations that employ them.

All courses meet APSCA CPD requirements for Recognized Training

Continuous professional development is how you keep your knowledge current after you qualify. Standards change, frameworks are revised and good practice moves on, and most professions expect their members to show they are keeping up. That is why we offer these courses: each one is written by experts in the discipline, so a couple of hours of study genuinely updates what you know, and the certificate gives you the evidence for your CPD record.

How the courses are built

Every course starts from a named competency: a framework element, a code of conduct clause, or a standard the profession already holds people to. It then works through the situations where that competency is hardest to apply. The material is written by people who practise the discipline, and reviewed against the framework it covers.

Courses are self-paced and end in an assessment with a real pass mark, which you can re-attempt if you fall short. On passing you receive a certificate listing the syllabus, the CPD hours and the pass mark: the facts a CPD record or a professional-body submission asks for.

Training a team

Organisations booking seats for a whole team get the same courses, the same pass mark and a certificate for each person. Tell us how many seats you need and we will reply within one working day.
